These Codes and Expectations are the foundation of our community life, thank you for having chosen to follow them when you submitted your application.
Please read and discuss them with your children before arriving at camp. All children, parents, and staff are expected to respect these rules.
At Le Classique, students are divided in two groups:
Thus, students are grouped not only by age into Juniors and Seniors, but also, according to their age, into different accommodation buildings or campuses.
Le Rosey has two campuses, located just a short walk from each other:
Building assignments are indicative and may vary from year to year depending on the number and age of enrolled students.
Juniors and Seniors follow slightly different daily routines (9:30 p.m. bedtime for Juniors, compared to a 10:00 p.m bedtime for Seniors), and are seated at separate tables in the dining room. For these reasons, Junior and Senior students cannot be accommodated together.
To ensure fairness, consistency, and the smooth running of the programme, students are assigned to the Junior or Senior group according to their age. We are therefore unable to make exceptions by placing a Junior student in the Senior group.
Boys and girls sleep in separate buildings, except for the youngest Juniors, who may stay in a co-ed building with boys and girls on separate floors. Sports and activities are mixed for all students.
Teachers and staff live on the same floors as the students, creating a warm and supportive boarding environment. Their role is to ensure students’ well-being and provide guidance throughout daily routines, from helping younger students settle into camp life to making sure everyone is ready for the day.
Having staff nearby also ensures a safe and well-organised environment. Boarding life is friendly and welcoming, with teachers always available for students and an open-door policy. For safety reasons, student rooms cannot be locked.
Rooms are allocated 24 hours before the start of camp, and roommates are not confirmed or communicated to families in advance. Final room assignments are shared with students upon arrival.
Any request to share a room with a specific student must be submitted in writing at least one week before the start of camp. Students sharing a room must be the same age, and written confirmation from both families is required. Once room allocations have been finalised, no room changes will be permitted.
Whenever possible, we aim to place students from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds together to encourage intercultural exchange and help students make the most of their boarding experience.
All our rooms are spacious twins with ensuite bathrooms welcoming 2 children per room (we do not offer single or triple-room configuration). A mini-safe is provided per student. All bedding and towels are provided. Each room is equipped with a wardrobe, clothes hangers, and ample storage space for personal belongings. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Fans, however, are available in case of a heat wave.
Internationally-inspired meals are served buffet style. Meals are prepared by our own chefs who pay meticulous attention to quality, presentation and flavour to produce healthy, balanced menus. During mealtimes, each student is assigned a table which is also shared with the camp teachers. Attendance at all meals is compulsory.
Any food allergies or dietary requirements (such as gluten-free, lactose-free, peanut allergies, etc.) must be clearly indicated in the health questionnaire. This information is essential, as the questionnaire is used by our team to assess and prepare for students’ dietary needs.
Meals containing pork will be clearly indicated on the menu and vegetarian options are also available.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide Kosher, Halal or vegan meals.
We know how important birthdays are, and especially so if it’s the first time the children are celebrating it away from home. We’ll organise cakes, balloons and sing happy birthday in the dining room.
Below is an example schedule, which may be subject to change before the start of camp. Individual daily timetables are provided to children upon arrival and are not shared with parents in advance.

Based on the five afternoon activities selected, we will create the weekly timetable, with each activity taking place between one and three times per week.

Different recreational programmes are organised over the weekend. Please have a look at the “Timetable” for an idea of the types of activities available.
Children may be invited to spend time off campus on the weekend by their parents or by a guardian approved by the parents. There are two options:
Children may not leave or return to camp outside of these time frames.
If you plan to pick up your child for the weekend, kindly email us a written invitation by midday Friday at the latest to:
The Direction will ask to meet the parent or guardian inviting the child to spend time off campus and will require the person to sign an official weekend release form. This form cannot be sent out to parents or guardian in advance and will only be provided at the time of the check out. Contact details must be provided on the form. The legal responsibilities to be assumed by the parent or guardian are also clearly stated on the form.
All weekends must be preceded by a check-out (reporting to the Direction) and finish with a check-in upon the return of the children. Parents or guardians are expected to accompany their children to complete the check-in process.
All people collecting children must have identification with them. If the person collecting the child is not a parent, the parents need to send permission and a copy of the person’s ID, via email, to the Head of Boarding before the child’s departure.
Parents or visitors are not allowed outside official days of arrival and departure. Weekday visits to campus are not allowed.
For students residing on the Rosey campus, check-ins and check-outs for weekend departures will take place with the boarding staff at the Paul & Henri Carnal Hall. For students residing on the La Combe campus, these procedures will be conducted with the boarding staff at the Vieille Combe.
Please remember that only students and staff are allowed in the boarding houses. All other persons are asked to announce themselves at Reception, located in the Château.
The recommended pocket money amount of CHF 400 has already been included in the camp fees. This amount is sufficient to cover your child’s stay, so please do not provide any additional pocket money upon arrival.
Children will be able to withdraw small sums of pocket money, 2 or 3 times per week, from the person in charge. It is important that they handle their pocket money with care and avoid misplacing it or leaving it behind.
Safes are provided in every room, and children are required to keep their pocket money securely stored there. This pocket money will be primarily used at Café Ljubo, where they will be able to buy some snacks or during weekend activities outside of the campus. There is no credit card payment system.
Pocket money, once distributed, is the child’s responsibility, and Le Rosey Camps takes no responsibility for missing money.
Any amount still outstanding from the camp fees on the child’s account may be settled from the child’s pocket money.
If your child is travelling as an UM (Unaccompanied Minor), the UM service must be paid to the airline prior to arrival at the camp.
The sum of CHF 150.- from the pocket money will be held until the last day for additional expenses before travelling home. Any remaining pocket money balance is given to the child upon departure.
Devices
No devices should be used by children outside their bedrooms.
Prohibited Devices: Smart glasses, laptops, cameras, activity trackers, and gaming devices are not allowed at camp. If children bring them, they will be kept by the child’s housemaster until departure.
Restricted Devices: iPads and smart watches are permitted only if they are the child’s only means of communication with their parents.
Permitted Devices: Basic e-readers with no internet/browser – reading only, simple music players with headphones, Yotos.
Useful Devices: Traditional, inexpensive watches are encouraged.
All internet-capable devices – with the exception of basic e-readers – are subject to the camp’s smartphone policy and intervention procedure.
Smartphone Policy
While we recognise the importance of maintaining communication between parents and students, we aim to limit the use of phones as much as possible to:

Weekdays
The children’s housemaster or referent teacher will collect devices before dinner if possible, or as soon as the children return to their house after their evening activity if before dinner is complicated or unreasonable. In either case, the windows for using the phones remain the same.
Weekends
Children’s free time will vary according to the activities they follow. Access to their phones is allowed until dinner time, but the following conditions must be observed:
Interventions
Children who disregard the phone policy can expect to have their devices confiscated for a short period. Boarding directors will contact parents to discuss any persistent issues. Le Rosey will never cut off contact between a child and their families.
Reception
Phone calls made through the reception (+41 21 822 55 00) are transferred to the children during mealtimes, except at dinner time on Saturday and lunch time on Sunday, when the reception is closed, or when meals are taken outside the dining room. In these cases, your child cannot be reached by phone. However, your child can be reached at the above number during the following windows:
If your child does not have a mobile phone, they may make one call home per week from Reception, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Handling emergencies outside reception hours
In case of an emergency outside reception hours, your call will be answered, and you will be asked to leave a message which be immediately forwarded to us in writing for treatment.
Please note that e-mail is the most efficient form of communication, as teachers are with the children most of the time. For non-urgent matters, emails will be answered within 24 hours. Please refer to the “Who’s Who” section to help you direct your enquiry.
We ask our staff not to exchange their personal phone numbers with parents – all communication should be through email, or through the reception phone.
Parents are requested to complete the health questionnaire for their child using the link provided by e-mail. Le Rosey Camps declines all responsibility for any consequences ensuing from missing or incomplete medical information.
Please ensure that all relevant medical information is clearly indicated on the questionnaire, including any allergies (e.g. horses, cats, dust, insect bites), medication, ongoing treatments, or recent medical procedures that may be important for us to be aware of.

While on campus
Healthcare professionals live on campus and are available 24/7. They are qualified to provide first aid and handle minor ailments. They are in regular contact with local doctors, will set up medical appointments and will ensure that the children take their medication. In case of emergency and if parents cannot be contacted rapidly, Le Rosey Camps will take any necessary decisions, in consultation with the attending doctor.
Medication
All medication must be labelled with the child’s name and the exact dosage and handed over to the nurse. Children must not self-medicate. For the safety of all, children are not allowed to keep medicines in their rooms. The same rules apply to all supplements, vitamins, and over-the-counter medicines or products.
Insurance
Fees paid include travel insurance and assistance solution providing cover in the event of a medical emergency resulting from illness or accident. If the child’s health/accident insurance in his/her country of residence does not cover the costs abroad or if the child does not have health/accident insurance, our insurance is activated to cover the costs in Switzerland during the camp. In all cases, our company will contact the child’s health insurance, if it exists.

Le Rosey Camps offer a laundry service, included in the price of the camp.
All clothes will be marked upon arrival by our staff.
Dirty laundry is collected from the rooms, washed, pressed and returned to the rooms twice per week. Therefore, if you plan to bring enough clothes for one week you will have enough to wear. A laundry bag is provided in each room.
Clothing worn on campus should be casual, non-revealing, and appropriate for classes and activities, including sports and other outdoor activities.
There is no uniform during the camp.
Tattoos and visible piercings are not allowed except in the case of discreet earrings on the earlobes.
A dry cleaning service is not provided during the camps.
The name of the student must be marked on personal effects such as tennis rackets, mobile phones, cameras etc.
It is strongly recommended that children do not bring anything too large, too fragile, or too valuable as Le Rosey camp will not take responsibility for missing items. Jewellery and accessories should be discreet.
Before the end of the camp, students will have the opportunity to examine misplaced items that have been found. If your child forgets any belongings at camp, you are kindly asked to organise the shipment through a courier service such as DHL or FedEx, with pick-up service at the school reception paid in advance. For insurance reasons, we are unable to organise the shipment. Parents are responsible for completing all customs formalities. We will pack the items and ensure they are ready for the designated pick-up.

For organisational and logistical reasons, each child is limited to 1 suitcase. Please ensure that all belongings can fit within this allowance.

The link for the arrival and departure information is available in the Parent Portal. Please make sure you inform us of your travel arrangements by logging onto your account and filling out the information under “checklist”. This link will close 2 weeks before the start of camp:
Therefore, make sure to submit the travel arrangements as soon as possible. After this deadline, parents will be responsible for all travel arrangements to our campus in Rolle.
For internal organisation, we cannot accept departure changes within 14 days of the departure date. The deadline to submit any changes for the departure is:

Parents and children will be welcomed in the Paul & Henri Carnal Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the registration process which includes meeting the Head of Boarding, Head of Academies, Head of Afternoon Activities, the Nurses. We will also take a photo of each child and give them a camp T-shirt.
Children enrolled in a Language Academy will take a test to assess their level of language proficiency. Based on the results, they will be placed in the group that is best suited to their level.
Please kindly take into consideration that the entire admission process takes approximately one hour.
At the end of the registration process, one of our teachers will accompany them to their room. Please note that parents are not allowed in the residential buildings.
On arrival, please hand in: passport/ID (parents who will be staying in the area may instead leave a copy of the passport/ID), if needed a plane ticket with a confirmed return flight, any medication which your child is currently taking. For children enrolled in the horse-riding activity, the original passport/ID is required, as the activity involves crossing the border into France.
Kindly note that parents are responsible for the validity of their children’s passport and visa. If a Schengen visa is required, make sure it is valid for the entire duration of the camp. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of camp.

Parents who wish to find accommodation close to our campus when they leave/pick up their children will find the best quality hotels in Geneva and Lausanne, as Rolle is a small town with no 5* hotels.
In Geneva we recommend: the Beau Rivage, La Réserve, The Woodward, Les Bergues. You can find a suitable hotel through the official tourism websites of Geneva or Lausanne
In our experience, most students will leave campus between breakfast and lunch, on the departure day. No specific classes or activities will take place on that day.
You may pick-up your children between 8am and 1pm on the following dates:
You can also check out your children the evening before, as from 9:30 p.m. (and not earlier than 9:30 p.m.), on Thursday 22 July for Le Classique July or Friday 13 August for Le Classique August.
The check-out procedure will be done individually in the respective buildings. Please go directly to the entrance of your child’s building, where their Chef de maison will be waiting for you.

The evening before the official departure date is dedicated to a celebration of the time spent together at camp. Parents are warmly invited to attend these festivities with us.

For students enrolled in the Theatre Academy, a performance will take place on Thursday, 12 August, and will be open to family and close friends. Further details and an RSVP invitation will be sent by email.
Geneva Airport is located approximately 30 minutes by car from Rolle, and we recommend that parents book flights departing from or arriving at Geneva Airport. Children travelling alone are met by our staff, wearing Le Rosey Camps uniform, and driven to camp. Our team will also accompany them back to the airport on departure day. Kindly note that we do not offer transport to children travelling with their parents.
Le Rosey Camps organises transfers from/to Geneva airport for children travelling alone, only on the official dates of:
For flights departing between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., children will be accompanied to the airport by one of our teachers.
For flights departing before 8:00 a.m., children will not be accompanied by one of our teachers. Instead, a member of the transport service we work with will accompany them to the airport and assist with the airport formalities.
Outside these time frames, transportation is the responsibility of the parents. For all personal travel arrangements, we usually recommend you contact Limousine Geneve or Taxi Geneva
No transportation is organised to/from Zürich Airport or train stations.
No visa, flight reservation or modification can be made by the camp on behalf of the student.
If you are travelling with your child, we are unable to offer you transportation. The campus is easily accessible by car or train (30 minutes to Rolle).
The Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service is special assistance provided by airlines for children travelling alone. Airline staff accompany the child from check-in and hand them over to the authorised person upon arrival.
The UM services (including return flights) must be booked, confirmed, and paid for directly with the airline before the start of camp. Please request a confirmation document and receipt from the airline, as these will need to be uploaded when completing the arrival and departure form.
For children travelling as UM’s, the airline will require the details of the person responsible for the child at Geneva Airport.
Escort at Geneva Airport (arrival and departure):
Please note that we are unable to provide UM assistance for journeys involving two different airlines, as the transfer and coordination between carriers cannot be guaranteed. Children travelling as a UM must therefore remain with the same airline for the entire journey.
For the return journey, please also provide the name and ID or passport number of the person authorised to collect your child at the destination airport.
Switzerland is a member of the Schengen Area. You may check the following link to know if your child needs a visa to enter Switzerland.
If you need a formal invitation letter to obtain a tourist visa to enter Switzerland, please send an email, including a copy of your child’s passport, to: contact@roseycamps.ch. The letter will be sent to you as soon as the payment for the camp has been received in full. Please make sure to request a multiple-entry Schengen visa. Please note that depending on the country, the process for obtaining a visa, even if facilitated, may take several weeks. Parents are responsible for ensuring that all required visas are obtained in time for travel. No refund, either full or partial, will be provided if the required visa is not obtained in time.
Please be advised that photographs and videos taken during the camps may be used on our multimedia platforms, such as brochures, presentation videos, social media and our website. If you do not wish for us to publish any photos in which your child appears, please send an email to flaurent@rosey.ch.
A photo gallery will be available online and will be updated frequently. Given the large number of activities that happen simultaneously and throughout the camp, our team will not be able to capture images of every child enjoying each activity.
You will receive login details once the first photos have been added, after the first full day of camp.
