| Session 2 From Sunday 4 until Sunday 18 July 2010 |
| Session 3 From Sunday 11 until Sunday 25 July 2010 |
| CHF 14’000
(All inclusive) |
| Swiss Alps and Mediterranean Sea • 2 weeks • 12-16 years old |
| |
| The camp combines a mountain adventure week |
| The group will: |
 |
explore the mountains |
 |
climb summits |
 |
cross glaciers |
 |
and learn how to overcome multiple challenges. |
|
| |
| Teamwork will be a key focus as the group share the daily routine of setting up and taking down their camp, and, at the same time, learn about themselves and each other. The programme has been formed to incorporate theory which is then put into practice on the ground. Campers will overnight in tents or in mountain refuges and will be given the responsibility of preparing their own meals as their week unfolds amid some spectacular scenery in the heart of the Swiss Alps. |
| |
| Followed by a week’s offshore navigation on the Mediterranean Sea |
| The group will travel down to the Mediterranean and live on board the Ipharra. The cruise will lead its young mariners along the French coast, around Corsica or Sardinia. |
| The group will: |
 |
learn how to handle a large yacht, using both engine and sails, practicing sailing manœuvres and working in shifts |
 |
learn how to calculate routes using maps and electronic navigation equipment |
 |
to appreciate the importance of teamwork and mutual respect. |
|
| |
| This training, both theoretical and practical, and which will be led by a Rosey teacher who is an experienced mariner, will be complemented by opportunities to discover the beauty of Mediterranean towns and villages along the way. |
